Chainsaws | Haunted How To

Client:

Lowe's

About:

Every Halloween, Lowe’s got overshadowed by Home Depot’s viral 12-foot skeleton. So instead of battling with bigger decorations, we turned to something truly scary: the chainsaw. In just two weeks, we shot and edited a short horror film that showed Halloween fans how to turn the terrifying tool into the ultimate costume accessory.

Behind the Scenes

We shot with digital, handheld camcorders — the Canon XL-1 and the FLIP Mini HD — to recreate the style of classic found-footage horror movies. So that blue time-code scene wasn't done in post. It's the real thing. Shout out our DP, Mario Contini.
